This is a great idea, I’ve been using twitter somewhat as a content feed for my #rtwsoon research but I love this idea.

I’m not traveling until March 31st so my content is updated on a weekly basis but I’d love to be added to the list.

  2. Monica says:

Thanks for the mention! I think this newsletter is an amazing idea. It definitely introduces me to travel bloggers I’ve never met before.

    • Alex says:

Thanks – the biggest challenge I’m running into is not letting it spiral out of control with hundreds of travel blogs! There are a lot out there. If I had more time, I would probably dissect them into categories and split the newsletter into 2 or 3 with different perspectives.

  3. I’ve done something similar but running it on my sidebar. I would have to agree with Alex but as long as I don’t let me RSS feed read list grow out of control I don’t think who I feature on my site will – I hope.

  4. Liz says:

Thanks to a friend (Ms. Bacon) I found your blog – good stuff. I’ve added you to my blog roll. If that’s not cool let me know.

  5. A great idea, but 2 comments:
    1) Isn’t daily to much, people have a lot in their inboxes, a daily read is a lot to expect.
    2) Can you keep control of this when you are travelling?
If you have time look at ‘Earth Pilgrim’ to see if you want to add it.

Hey Graham – thanks for the note! I’m going to tweak the formula a bit. My goal is to make the newsletter(s) a bit of a “best of… ” for people to glance at daily to see what they want to check out in more detail. Don’t know about you, but my RSS reader is packed FULL, so I like having just a few each day to glance through then I can read all the other blogs I subscribe to when I have more time.

No control necessary – it’s all automated. I do nothing other than add or subtract which feeds are included.

When I re-configure things over the next few weeks, I’ll let you know and see how I can slot your blog feed in.

  6. Hi Joel – I’ve been running Dave’s Travel Corner for the past almost 14 years, http://www.davestravelcorner.com and I was
wondering if you have some time to check my site out and if you like what you see, perhaps you could add a link back on your Links section. I have already added your site under my Resources >> Blogs of Travel section.

    Thanks :)

    Dave

  7. Matt says:

Hi Joel! I hope things are well in Amsterdam. I’d like to get on this daily digest blog list and exchange links. My page is extremely out of date, yet I just added you. Happy Travels,

    Matt

I love your blog and have been following it for some time now — I’d love you to check out my site, too! I’ve done a RTW… and totally support you in your travels!

    Hi!

I just found your site and I really like the way you blog, sharing your experience with funny comments and nice pictures :)
I have a website as well called http://www.weekend.com.sg which aims to list all the best travel blogs in South-East Asia. Since you definitely offer a quality content, I’m convinced that your blog would interest my visitors. Would you agree to have your RSS feed integrated in my metablog? This way my users would be able to access your blog, and you would have more readers as they would be automatically redirected to your site.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you and to reading your new posts :)

I wish you a great week!

    Erika

    Hey Joel,

Have been following your site for a while- love the concept and the photography.
I was wondering if you would be willing to post a reciprocal link with my website that is just premiering this week.

Rather than jump right in, perhaps you would prefer to just observe for a while. warm to the idea. pass on any tips for my website also if you have any to give. Either way, here’s the link: http://www.upickapath.com

    Best

    Jake
